The Dead Meat Tarp is a simple piece of backcountry insurance—built for hunters who want to keep meat clean when the ground is wet, muddy, or covered in loose debris. Lay it down at the kill site to create a tough, clean workspace for quartering, deboning, or staging bags, then roll it up and move on.
Made from ultra-durable 40D nylon, it’s silicone-impregnated on one side and PU-coated on the other for a dependable barrier that sheds moisture and grime. Built-in tie-outs let you stake it down in wind, hang it to dry, or rig it as a quick shelter or meat/gear cover when weather turns.
Sized at 36" x 60", it’s big enough to work on and still compact enough to disappear in your pack. In a pinch, it doubles as a gear tarp to keep you, your pack, or camp essentials dry.

Exactly what I was looking for
Used the tarp twice this fall on elk. Made boning out so much better. Ultralight weight.
At first I thought it was too small and probably wouldn’t be worth carrying but it really is the perfect size.
After boning out the meat the tarp worked great for wrapping the head and strapping it to the pack. Brought it home bloody, ran it through the wash and it came out super clean and ready for the next mission.
Began using it as a rain tarp when a super bad storm hit us in minutes, shock the water right off and put it back in the pack. Next day used it as it was designed!!! So small and handy to have, why quieter than tyvek!!
I love my Grakksaw gear!! Deer and Elk skull hangers are awesome! Game Bags and Ground Tarp also performed well on two bull elk this fall!! Great products all the way around!!
This is an awesome piece of gear for hunting blacktail deer on Kodiak Island. Extremely light to carry and you can lay your meat on the tarp to keep it clean! I just ordered two more to give as gifts to my hunting buddies.
You gotta have a grakssaw meat tarp. It makes it so much easier to keep the dirt off the meat, and it's a breeze to clean. Plus, it even doubles as a shade tarp to cover the hanging meat.
Dead meat tarp is pretty rad. Packs up small, folds out to a great size, plenty big enough for breaking down a bear or deer fitting all the quarters etc as you break down your game. Comes with me on every hunt.
Does what it’s suppose to. Keeps the meat off the ground and packs down very nicely.

I love this tarp. It works well for keeping your meat clean while you break it down. It is light weight and cleans up nicely. I would recommend the tarp.
How great!
Light as a feather and takes almost no space, but one of the most valuable items in my kill kit! Essential to laying out the meat evenly while butchering in the field to cool and keep clean. Later after packout I used it on the tailgate to process the meat before packaging in coolers.
